Latest plot is smokin'!

The latest case for DCI Wilson and DS Lewis is currently in user-testing - and it's smokin'!

Celebrity chef Steven Avery can only stand and watch as his upscale Manchester restaurant is burnt to the ground.  Within hours, police and the fire service confirm it's definitely arson.

Who  would want to do that?  Is it malice? Revenge?  Envy? Anger? Or was someone with something to hide covering their tracks?

Released Autumn 2025 for half-day team-building and leader support events.  And if it's not too tactless, Steven: reservations are now being taken...

Team Diversity triumph at ACC Crime Night

Alwoodley Cricket Club held its first Ignition Investigation Crime Night on 5 September.

Four teams of seasoned professionals and eminent retirees were roundly beaten by two teams with an average age of 20, with top honours going to Team Diversity.

A former second team captain is seen here puzzling over a tiny fraction of evidence in the case.

Many thanks to everyone at ACC who attended or helped set up such a successful event.

It's a family affair at the Anjou Hotel

Here's the prestigious Anjou Hotel, York, in all its glory. Founded in 1924 by bon viveur Bertram Carmichael, the Hotel was the first choice of Society in the Roaring Twenties.  By the Sixties it was one of the country's first spa hotels; and today it's still the height of style and luxury.

It remains in private hands, run by Bertram's descendants. It's a thriving business and of course, an extremely valuable piece of real estate.  The family have always understood it would be passing to one of them and there's been some speculation about exactly who would be the lucky beneficiary. And so, when the most recent guardian of the family inheritance died, the will was read in the time-honoured tradition.

No-one expected what would happen next...
